This project presents the design and development of a wall paint spraying robot controlled by a PIC microcontroller and a Bluetooth module. The robot is operated using an Android smartphone, allowing wireless control of movement and spraying operations. The system is designed to reduce manual effort, improve safety, and provide uniform paint coating on walls. The robot is capable of moving in four directions—forward, backward, left, and right—using DC motors driven by a motor driver circuit. While the robot handles navigation, the spraying mechanism operates independently. The electric sprayer is mounted on a spray rod mechanism, which moves in both horizontal and vertical directions with the help of a PMDC motor. This ensures even and consistent paint distribution across the wall surface without requiring the entire robot to move continuously for coverage. The system uses relays for controlling the sprayer and motor operations, and LED indicators provide status feedback. By separating the robot movement and spray motion, the design achieves better precision and efficiency in painting. This project offers a cost-effective, automated solution for wall painting applications, especially in areas that are difficult or unsafe for manual work.

The main objectives of the project are:
  • To design and develop an automated wall painting robot using PIC microcontroller and Bluetooth control.
  • To enable robot movement in four directions: forward, backward, left, and right.
  • To implement wireless control using an Android smartphone for easy operation.
  • To develop an electric paint spraying mechanism for uniform paint application.
  • To achieve horizontal and vertical movement of the sprayer using a spray rod mechanism.
  • To use a PMDC motor for precise control of the spraying motion.
  • To reduce human effort, time, and risks involved in manual painting.
  • To ensure consistent and smooth paint coating on wall surfaces.
  • To create a cost-effective and efficient solution for automated painting systems.
  • To improve safety while working on large or high-rise wall areas.
