The Surveillance Rover is a smart mobile robotic system designed for real-time monitoring and remote surveillance in homes, industries, offices, and restricted areas.

The Surveillance Rover is a smart mobile robotic system designed for real-time monitoring and remote surveillance in homes, industries, offices, and restricted areas. The rover is built around an Arduino Nano microcontroller and an ESP32-CAM module, which provides live video streaming over a web interface. The robot can be controlled wirelessly through a web browser, allowing the user to move the rover, switch the LED ON/OFF, and rotate the camera using a servo motor for wider area coverage. The system uses an ultrasonic sensor to detect obstacles. If an obstacle is detected, the rover automatically stops to avoid collisions and improve safety. A fire sensor, DHT11 temperature and humidity sensor, and vibration sensor continuously monitor environmental conditions and detect abnormal events such as fire, excessive vibration, or unauthorized movement. When an emergency is detected, the GSM module sends an SMS alert to the registered user for immediate action. The L298 motor driver controls the DC motors, while an LM2596 voltage regulator provides a stable power supply from the battery. An LED indicator displays the system status. This surveillance rover offers a low-cost, portable, and efficient solution for remote security monitoring. It enhances safety by providing live video, environmental sensing, obstacle avoidance, and instant alert notifications, making it suitable for security surveillance, industrial inspection, warehouse monitoring, and disaster-prone environments.

Objectives of the project:
  1. To provide real-time video surveillance using the ESP32-CAM for remote monitoring.
  2. To enable wireless control of the rover through a web interface.
  3. To detect obstacles using an ultrasonic sensor for safe movement.
  4. To monitor environmental conditions such as fire, temperature, humidity, and vibrations.
  5. To send SMS alerts through the GSM module during emergency situations for improved security.
