The proposed Biomedical Signal Instrumentation system is designed for real-time monitoring and analysis of vital physiological parameters using an embedded platform. The system integrates multiple biosensors, including MAX30102 for heart rate and SpO₂ measurement, ECG and EMG sensors for cardiac and muscular activity, and a temperature sensor for body temperature monitoring. All sensor data is acquired and processed by the ESP32 microcontroller, which acts as the central processing unit. The collected signals are conditioned, digitized, and displayed locally on an LCD display for immediate observation. Additionally, the ESP32’s built-in Wi-Fi capability enables wireless transmission of data to web-based platforms, allowing remote monitoring and analysis. This system provides a compact, low-cost, and efficient solution for continuous health monitoring, making it suitable for applications in hospitals, home healthcare, and wearable medical devices. The integration of multiple biosignals enhances diagnostic capability and supports early detection of potential health abnormalities.

Objectives:
  • To design and develop a real-time biomedical monitoring system using the ESP32 as the main processing unit.
  • To measure multiple physiological parameters such as heart rate and SpO₂ using MAX30102, along with ECG, EMG, and body temperature signals.
  • To acquire, process, and analyze biomedical signals accurately for reliable health monitoring.
  • To display the measured parameters clearly on an LCD display for immediate local observation.
  • To enable wireless data transmission through Wi-Fi for remote monitoring via web applications.
  • To develop a compact, low-cost, and portable system suitable for continuous patient monitoring.
  • To improve early detection of abnormalities in vital signs for preventive healthcare.
  • To ensure user-friendly operation and efficient integration of multiple sensors into a single platform.
