Agricultural fields are often vulnerable to intrusion by wild animals and unauthorized persons, leading to crop damage and economic losses. To address this issue, a Solar-Powered Laser Security System for Agriculture using ESP32 is proposed. The system utilizes a laser light and an LDR (Light Dependent Resistor) sensor to create a virtual security barrier around the protected area. Under normal conditions, the laser beam continuously falls on the LDR sensor. Whenever an animal or intruder interrupts the laser beam, the ESP32-CAM detects the disturbance and immediately activates a buzzer through a buzzer driver circuit to provide an audible warning. Simultaneously, the ESP32-CAM captures an image of the intrusion event and sends an alert notification with the captured image to the farmer through email using its built-in Wi-Fi connectivity. The entire system is powered by a solar panel and rechargeable battery, making it suitable for remote agricultural locations without reliable grid power. The proposed system provides an efficient, eco-friendly, and cost-effective solution for real-time agricultural field security and crop protection.

The objectives of the project:

  To design a solar-powered security system for agricultural fields.

  To detect the intrusion of animals or unauthorized persons using a laser and LDR sensor.

  To generate an alarm through a buzzer when the laser beam is interrupted.

  To capture images of intruders using the ESP32-CAM module.

  To send alert notifications with images to the farmer via email.

  To provide continuous field monitoring using renewable solar energy.

  To reduce crop damage and improve farm security in a cost-effective manner.
