Now a day's every system is automated in order to face new challenges. In the present days Automated systems have fewer manual operations, flexibility, reliability and accurate. Due to this demand every field prefers automated control systems. Especially in the field of electronics automated systems are giving good performance.
The project aims to design and develop an automatic vehicle speed detection system. The system uses two IR sensors placed at a fixed distance to measure the time taken by a vehicle to travel between them, and the speed is calculated accordingly. The calculated speed is displayed on a 16×2 LCD in km/h along with the speed status, such as Normal or High Speed. A buzzer is activated to provide an alert when the vehicle exceeds the preset speed limit. To accomplish this task, an Arduino Uno is programmed using Embedded C language to process sensor inputs, compute speed, control the display, and trigger alerts.
