The project aims in designing solar and IOT based robust railway crack detection scheme (RRCDS) using IR sensor which avoids the train accidents. And also capable of uploading the crack location into the Thingspeak cloud using the GPS and ESP8266 WI-FI module.
The GPS is the acronym for Global positioning system. This GPS receiver is capable of identifying the location in which it was present in the form of latitude and longitudes. This information is very useful and can be processed for alerting the boat drivers. The GPS gives the data received from the satellites. For this information the GPS communicates with at least three satellites in the space.
In this Project presents an automotive localization system using GPS and IOT technology. Solar energy is obtained stored into the rechargeable Battery through charging circuit and this Battery power is used to moves the vehicle (Train). By using LM2596 module we can convert 12 battery voltage into 5vDC which is used to provide the power supply to the Arduino along with all input and output modules.
In this project, let us consider the two tracks; each track will have one IR sensor. Like these two tracks have 2 IR sensors. Whenever there is a crack on the track, then the IR sensor senses that and gives its output to the ARDUINO microcontroller. This tracking system is composed of a GPS receiver, Microcontroller and an ESP8266 WI-FI Module. GPS Receiver gets the location information from satellites in the form of latitude and longitude. The Microcontroller processes this information and this processed information is upload into the thingspeak cloud through ESP8266 WI-FI module. Whenever, train detects obstacle it will activate the Buzzer for alerts and stop the vehicle automatically. The status of the project will display on LCD module. To achieve this task microcontroller loaded program written in embedded C Language.
