HVS-4752. Smart Cart with Real-Time Object Detection and Billing system with IoT Webpage monitoring

12,500.00

The IoT-Based Smart Shopping Cart uses Raspberry Pi Zero 2W, Pi camera, and image processing to automatically identify products placed in the trolley. The system displays product details and total bill on an LCD and web page, reducing billing time and avoiding long queues.

The IoT-Based Smart Shopping Cart using Raspberry Pi Zero 2W and Image Processing is designed to simplify the shopping and billing process in supermarkets and shopping malls. The system uses a Pi camera with OpenCV image processing to automatically recognize products placed in the trolley. A selection switch is used to add or remove products, while a buzzer gives indication during operation. Product details such as item name and cost are displayed on an LCD screen connected to the trolley. The Raspberry Pi Zero 2W acts as the main controller and processes the captured product images. Using its inbuilt Wi-Fi feature, the system uploads product information and the total bill to a web page through IoT technology. This smart shopping cart reduces billing time, avoids long queues at counters, minimizes manual barcode scanning, and improves customer convenience and shopping efficiency.

Objectives:

  To develop a smart shopping cart using Raspberry Pi Zero 2W and image processing.
