Vehicle theft is becoming a major concern in both urban and rural areas, creating the need for smart, reliable, and cost-effective vehicle security systems. This project presents an Anti-Theft Vehicle Control System using an Arduino Nano microcontroller and an ESP32-CAM module for real-time monitoring and security. The system is designed to detect unauthorized access attempts and automatically prevent vehicle theft through image capture, alert generation, and ignition control. The Arduino Nano acts as the main controlling unit of the system. A keypad is used for password-based authentication, where the user must enter the correct password to access the vehicle. If an incorrect password is entered, the system identifies it as an intrusion attempt. Immediately, the ESP32-CAM captures an image of the intruder and sends it to the vehicle owner’s mobile device through Wi-Fi and email services. Simultaneously, a buzzer alarm is activated to provide an audible warning. To enhance vehicle security, a relay-controlled DC motor is used to simulate the vehicle ignition system. When unauthorized access is detected, the relay automatically disables the ignition control, preventing the vehicle from starting and thereby reducing the risk of theft. The entire system operates automatically and can also be monitored remotely through a web interface or mobile application. This project provides an intelligent, compact, and affordable vehicle security solution by combining password protection, image surveillance, wireless alert notification, and automatic ignition control. The system improves vehicle safety, reduces theft risk, and offers real-time monitoring for vehicle owners.
