Now a days many weather reporting applications are available which gives us information for protection about climatic changes that are going to take place by which man can be aware of present and future climatic changes. Most of the weather reporting applications extracts the data from accurate weather system. Here we are building our own weather reporting system which would give us the information about present temperature, humidity, light etc. We can even set up this in our home and get alerts for time-to-time changes in climate which would help us in planning our daily work easily. It would be helpful for a farmer in this agricultural activity by which he can protect his crops according to climatic changes. It would help in transportation giving information of weather conditions. Internet of things, IoT, as an important part of the new generation of information technology, have developed rapidly both in theory and practice since proposed and derived many applications such as smart home, intelligent environmental monitoring. Things not only liberated a lot of manpower, but also achieved a standardized, automated management. Wi-Fi (Short for Wireless Fidelity) is a wireless technology that uses radio frequency to transmit data through the air. Wi-Fi has initial speeds of 1mbps to 2mbps. Wi-Fi transmits data in the frequency band of 2.4 GHz. It implements the concept of frequency division multiplexing technology. Range of Wi-Fi technology is 40-300 feet.   The main aim of this project is to design a smart way of weather monitoring system using cloud storage technology based on wireless Wi-Fi communication. The weather parameters are monitored using sensing devices like LDR (light) sensor, temperature and humidity sensors. Then the collected data and analysis results will be available to the user through Wi-Fi to the cloud storage and provides Thingspeak. This data will be helpful for future references. Also display the same data on LCD module.

The major building blocks of this project are:
  1. Adapter power supply.
  2. PIC microcontroller.
  3. DHT11 sensor.
  4. LDR.
  5. LCD display.
  6. Esp8266 WI-FI
Software’s used in the project:
  1. PIC-C compiler for Embedded C programming.
  2. PIC kit 2 programmer for dumping code into Micro controller.
  3. Express SCH for Circuit design.
