In this project we develop a water temperature sensor to sense the water temperature inside a river or other water features. There are lots of water temperature sensors we could use with Arduino, but I am using Gikfun DS18B20 Waterproof Temperature Sensor to sense the water temperature. The water temperature value will be display on LCD.   The main controlling device of the project is Arduino UNO. DS18B20 temperature sensor and LCD display is interfaced to the Arduino. Arduino will continuously read the data from sensor and display on LCD. To achieve this task Arduino loaded program written in embedded C language.              

Objectives:

• Monitoring water temperature using DS18B20 sensor.
• Display the temperature values on LCD.
• To achieve this task Arduino loaded program written in embedded C language.

             

The major building blocks of this project are:

1. Power supply.
2. Arduino UNO.
3. DS18B20 Temperature sensor.
4. LCD display.

       

    Software’s used in the project:  

1. ARDUINO IDE compiler for Embedded C programming.
2. Express SCH for Circuit design.
