The main aim of the project is to design a vehicle safety detection and alarm system which is used to detect the inside environment of the vehicle. Users can check the environmental information and location information of the vehicle at any time through the mobile application terminal. The system is designed and developed for the safety of people who are stuck in the vehicle, especially for children.   The Child Safety and Vehicle Monitoring System is an IoT-based safety solution designed to detect children accidentally left inside a vehicle and provide immediate alerts to the vehicle owner. A PIR sensor is used to detect the presence or movement of a child inside the vehicle. The system monitors important environmental parameters using an LM35 temperature sensor, CO sensor, and GY-30 light intensity sensor, which are interfaced with an Arduino UNO. The collected sensor data is continuously transmitted to the ThingSpeak cloud platform through Wi-Fi, along with the corresponding date and time for remote monitoring and data logging. When any monitored parameter exceeds its predefined threshold, the system activates a buzzer for an audible warning and sends an emergency SMS alert to the vehicle owner through a GSM modem. A GPS receiver is also integrated into the system to obtain the vehicle's real-time location in terms of latitude and longitude. The location information can be monitored through the IoT platform along with the sensor data. The Arduino UNO acts as the main controller and processes the sensor inputs, controls the buzzer, GSM, GPS, and Wi-Fi communication modules. The proposed system helps improve child safety, emergency response, and real-time vehicle monitoring.
