The proposed project aims to develop a pneumatic-operated actuator for controlling valves in oil and gas industries.

The proposed project aims to develop a pneumatic-operated actuator for controlling valves in oil and gas industries. The system uses compressed air as the power source to produce the required linear or rotary motion for valve operation. A Scotch-Yoke mechanism is used to convert the linear motion of the pneumatic piston into rotary motion, which can be used to operate quarter-turn valves such as butterfly valves. The pneumatic actuator provides faster and safer valve operation compared with manual actuation and is suitable for high-pressure and hazardous industrial environments. The system reduces manual effort and enables reliable remote operation of valves used for controlling the flow of oil and gas.

Features of this project:
  1. Low- or high-pressure control system designs available.
  2. Implemented through scotch yoke mechanism.
  3. Local open and close valve control using power gas as standard.

Components used:
  1. Actuator
  2. Butterfly valve
  3. Hydraulic cylinders used as oil tanks.
