The Solar Powered Pesticide Sprayer is an eco-friendly agricultural system designed to simplify pesticide spraying while reducing dependence on manual pumping and conventional fuel sources. The system consists of a solar photovoltaic panel, a rechargeable battery, a DC water pump, a pesticide storage tank, a flow control valve (volume knob), an ON/OFF push button, a spray nozzle, and a wheeled trolley for easy transportation. Solar energy is converted into electrical energy by the photovoltaic panel and stored in the rechargeable battery through a charging circuit. The stored energy powers the DC pump, which draws the pesticide solution from the tank and delivers it to the spray nozzle at a constant pressure. A flow control valve (volume knob) is provided to regulate the flow rate of the pesticide solution, allowing the user to adjust the spraying pressure according to the crop type and field conditions. An ON/OFF push button is incorporated to enable the operator to start or stop the spraying operation instantly without disconnecting the power supply, making the system more convenient and user-friendly. The trolley-mounted design reduces operator fatigue and enables smooth movement across agricultural fields. The use of solar energy makes the system economical, environmentally friendly, and suitable for remote farming areas where electricity is unavailable. Compared to conventional manual sprayers, the proposed system improves spraying efficiency, reduces labor requirements, and provides adjustable spray pressure for effective pesticide application while lowering operating costs. This project offers a sustainable and practical solution for modern agriculture, contributing to increased productivity, efficient chemical usage, and energy conservation.
