The Smart Phone-Controlled Robot with Pick and Place Arm is a wireless robotic system designed to perform object handling operations using an Android smartphone. The system is built around a PIC microcontroller and uses an HC-05 Bluetooth module for communication between the smartphone and the robot. The robot receives movement and arm control commands from a mobile application and performs actions such as forward, reverse, left, right, object pickup, and object placement.
The robotic platform is driven by DC motors through a motor driver circuit, while a separate driver controls the pick-and-place robotic arm. The arm is capable of lifting small objects and placing them into a designated container, making the system suitable for material handling and automation applications. A battery power supply powers the motors and control circuitry, while LED indicators provide status information during operation.
This project demonstrates a low-cost, user-friendly, and efficient robotic solution for remote object handling. The smartphone interface eliminates the need for dedicated remote controllers and provides flexible wireless control. The proposed system can be applied in industrial automation, warehouse material handling, educational robotics, laboratory environments, and hazardous-area operations where human intervention should be minimized.
