The Voice Controlled All-Terrain Vehicle with Planet Gear Mechanism is an embedded systems project designed to provide efficient remote navigation over rough and uneven terrain using voice commands. The system consists of a transmitter unit and a receiver unit interconnected through Zigbee wireless communication. The transmitter section uses a PIC microcontroller, microphone, and voice recognition module to capture and process user voice commands, which are transmitted wirelessly to the vehicle. The receiver section receives these commands through a Zigbee module and controls the movement of the vehicle using a motor driver and DC motors coupled with a planetary gear mechanism.
The planetary gear mechanism provides high torque, better load distribution, compact transmission, and improved traction, making the vehicle suitable for all-terrain operation such as rocky, sandy, muddy, and uneven surfaces. An ultrasonic sensor is incorporated for obstacle detection, enabling the vehicle to identify nearby objects and avoid collisions. A camera module mounted on the vehicle provides real-time video streaming to the operator for remote monitoring and navigation. LED indicators display the operating status of the system, while regulated and battery power supplies ensure reliable operation of both transmitter and receiver units.
The proposed system demonstrates a hands-free, voice-operated robotic vehicle capable of wireless control, obstacle detection, and live visual feedback. The combination of voice control, Zigbee communication, and a planetary gear transmission system results in a compact, reliable, and energy-efficient all-terrain vehicle suitable for surveillance, defense support, industrial inspection, disaster response, and remote exploration applications.
