This project aims in designing a system which helps in monitoring transformer oil temperature. The system automatically breaks the transformer if temperature is above threshold and sends alert message to concerned authorities.   The modules in this project are: Temperature sensor to get the temperature, Buzzer to give alerts, GSM modem for sending alert messages, LCD to display the parameters.   The controlling device of the whole system is a Microcontroller. The microcontrollers continuously monitor the temperature data from temperature sensors placed in the transformer oil. The Microcontroller switches ON circuit breaker if temperature exceeds threshold and sends alert message to concerned authorities through GSM modem. The Microcontroller used in this project are programmed using Embedded C programming.        

The main objectives of the project are:  

1. Monitoring and controlling of temperature of multiple transformers.
2. Automatic circuit breaker controlling.
3. Display of temperature on LCD.
4. SMS based alerts for abnormal conditions.

1. PIC-C compiler for Embedded C programming.
2. PIC kit 2 programmer for dumping code into Micro controller.
3. Express SCH for Circuit design.
