The project aims at developing an autonomous surveillance Robot capable of detection human presence in a restricted area.  The Robot is self controllable regarding the path it should move and this feature is made possible by use of ultrasonic sensor. The alerts regarding human presence will be given at remote location through RF technology.   RF Communication ranges in between 30 KHz to 300 GHz. RF communication works by creating electromagnetic waves at a source and being able to pick up those electromagnetic waves at a particular destination. These electromagnetic waves travel through the air at near the speed of light. The wavelength of an electromagnetic signal is inversely proportional to the frequency; the higher the frequency, the shorter the wavelength.   The Autonomous Surveillance Robot (ASR) is a low-cost security robot designed to detect human presence in restricted areas and provide wireless alerts. The robot moves autonomously using IR sensors for path detection and obstacle avoidance. A PIR sensor detects human motion, and an RF transmitter sends an alert to a remote receiver, where an alarm is activated to notify security personnel. The system provides reliable 24/7 surveillance and is suitable for jewelry shops, banks, colleges, parking areas, warehouses, and other restricted locations, reducing the need for continuous human monitoring.        

The main objectives of the project are:  
  1. Designing an autonomous Robot using IR sensor.
  2. PIR sensor based human detection in restricted areas.
  3. Wireless alerts through RF to security officials.
        The major building blocks of the project are:  
  1. Regulated Power Supply.
  2. PIC Microcontroller.
  3. PIR sensor.
  4. IR sensor.
  5. RF transmitter and RF receiver.
  6. Encoder and Decoder.
  7. Crystal oscillator.
  8. Reset Button.
  9. DC motors with driver.
  10. LED indicators.
  11. Buzzer with driver.
            Software’s used:  
  1. PIC-C compiler for Embedded C programming.
  2. PIC kit 2 programmer for dumping code into Micro controller.
