The RFID-Based Vehicle Access Control System is a secure and automated system designed to control vehicle entry using Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology.

The RFID-Based Vehicle Access Control System is a secure and automated system designed to control vehicle entry using Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology. The system consists of an RFID reader, RFID tag, microcontroller, stepper motor, motor driver, LED indicators, and a regulated power supply. Each authorized user is provided with a unique RFID tag. When the tag is brought near the RFID reader, the microcontroller verifies the tag information and determines whether access should be granted. If the RFID tag is valid, the microcontroller activates the stepper motor driver, which rotates the stepper motor to automatically open the vehicle access door or gate. After a preset time, the motor closes the gate automatically to maintain security. If an unauthorized RFID tag is detected, access is denied, and the gate remains closed. LED indicators display the access status, while the crystal oscillator ensures accurate timing and reliable system operation. The proposed system provides a fast, contactless, and secure method for vehicle access control, eliminating the need for manual gate operation. It enhances security, reduces unauthorized vehicle entry, and improves the efficiency of parking areas, residential communities, office premises, industries, and toll gate applications.

The main objectives of the project are:

  To develop a secure vehicle access control system using RFID technology.

  To identify authorized users through unique RFID tags.

  To automatically open and close the vehicle gate using a stepper motor.

  To prevent unauthorized vehicle entry and improve security.

  To provide a simple, reliable, and low-cost automated access solution.

The major building blocks of this project are:
  1. Regulated power supply.
  2. RFID reader.
  3. RFID tag.
