The project aims in designing a system which helps charging of a mobile phone battery using solar energy.

The project aims in designing a system which helps charging of a mobile phone battery using solar energy.   With the existing push in the direction of sustainable, clean sources of power, it is no surprise that solar power has become one of the most popular alternative energy sources. Solar power is amazing. On average, every square meter of Earth's surface receives 164 watts of solar energy. In other words, you could stand a really powerful (150 watt) table lamp on every square meter of Earth's surface and light up the whole planet with the Sun's energy! Or, to put it another way, if we covered just one percent of the Sahara Desert with solar panels, we could generate enough electricity to power the whole world. That's the good thing about solar power: there's an awful lot of it—much more than we could ever use. Free and available everywhere, the power of the sun can be employed to power everything like cell phones and MP3 player. The sun's energy is usually harvested through solar panels that are made up of photovoltaic cells. These cells can convert the sun's power into electricity that can be used for a number of purposes. For private use, a handheld solar hybrid charger can be employed to recharge little device for instance a MP3 player, a cell phone, or a camera.

The main features of this project are:
  1. Mobile can be charged even while travelling.
  2. Simple Circuitry.
  3. Easy to operate.
The major building blocks of this project are:
  1. Solar cell/plate.
  2. Regulator
  3. Mobile battery
