The purpose of this project is to monitor the power of each resource (Analog and Digital) using smart phone. The Bluetooth modem provides the communication mechanism between the user and the microcontroller system by means of text messages.
Android is a software stack for mobile devices that includes an operating system, middleware and key applications. Android boasts a healthy array of connectivity options, including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and wireless data over a cellular connection (for example, GPRS, EDGE (Enhanced Data rates for GSM Evolution) and 3G). Android provides access to a wide range of useful libraries and tools that can be used to build rich applications. In addition, Android includes a full set of tools that have been built from the ground up alongside the platform providing developers with high productivity and deep insight into their applications.
This system also continuously monitors the status of devices connected to it. In this project we are going to monitor the voltage generated by solar panel, piezoelectric sensor and wind turbine these are automatically sends to user through microcontroller by using Bluetooth module as a communication media. After completion of the command implementation this system sends the confirmation messages back to the calling user.
“Hybrid power generation grid monitoring through Android smart phone” is a modern era automation system where we can control the status of the appliances from any where in the world. Here the power generated sources are connected to microcontroller which is interfaced with a Bluetooth module, which is capable of sending the information in the form of short message service and performs the necessary tasks and at the same time the status displayed on the LCD display. Here generated voltage obtained stored into the battery through charging circuit and this battery power is used to switch on the street lights.
