A Framework for the emerging smart infrastructure in the IOT Era
Energy crisis is one of the major problems that the world faces today. The energy crisis can be reduced to a certain extent by properly monitoring our energy consumption and avoiding energy wastage.
The energy meters are connected to the Arduino UNO through an optocoupler. The optocoupler sensor gives an interrupt each time the meter LED ashes to the programmed Arduino and Arduino will upload this KWH readings into the blynk APP through ESP8266 WI-FI module.
The main controlling device of the project is Arduino uno Microcontroller. ENERGY METER with optocoupler, Relays with loads, ESP8266 WI-FI module is interfaced to the Arduino UNO microcontroller. Arduino will continuously read the kwh readings from energy meter and upload them into the blynk app through esp8266 wi-fi module. User can access this device using mobile phone with the help of blynk app, based on that user will control the devices from blynk application through wi-fi. When the user presses the button from the blynk app this data received by the Arduino then the Arduino controls the appropriate device like door, window curtains, AC loads through relays. Here the relay works as a switch to ON/OFF the device. The main controlling device of the project is Arduino which is programmed by Embedded C language.
