The main objective of this project is to design and develop an effective safety and emergency alert system for women. The proposed system uses an Arduino Nano as the main microcontroller, which acts as the central control unit of the project. It interfaces with the input and output modules and processes the programmed instructions to perform the required operations. The system consists of a GPS receiver, emergency push button, LED indicator, and GSM module. The GPS receiver continuously obtains the geographical location of the user from satellites in the form of latitude and longitude coordinates. When an emergency situation occurs, the user can press the emergency button, after which the Arduino Nano reads the current GPS location and sends the latitude and longitude information through the GSM module to a predefined mobile number in the form of an SMS. At the same time, the LED is switched ON to provide a visual indication of the emergency condition. Thus, the proposed system provides a simple and effective method for transmitting the user's location to a predefined contact during an emergency.

Features:
  • Real-time GPS location tracking.
  • Emergency push-button activation.
  • Automatic latitude and longitude detection.
  • SMS alert through GSM module.
  • Sends location to a predefined mobile number.
  • LED indication during emergency.
  • Arduino Nano-based control system.
  • Simple and compact hardware design.
  • Fast emergency location communication.
  • Useful for personal safety and emergency situations.
