The accidents in coal mines are increased day by day. There are numerous life losses of many skilled workers and laborers. There is no advent precaution measure to detect the alarming cause of the coal mine accidents and provide an alert system.

The accidents in coal mines are increased day by day. There are numerous life losses of many skilled workers and laborers. There is no advent precaution measure to detect the alarming cause of the coal mine accidents and provide an alert system. This system incorporates the combined action of the temperature, pressure and gas sensor and IOT module to detect the temperature, co, methane, BMP180, LEDs and atmosphere in the coal mine and log every data onto the cloud using AWS. Then these data are accepted by an admin controlled sever page through data acquisition. The data processing takes place at a server page and the alert is send to the device to glow the alarm and to the concerned officials and rescue stations for taking the prevention measures. The raspberry pi zero w processor upload the sensor data on AWS IoT through Wi-Fi and also monitoring on LCD display so user can check the sensor data from anywhere in the world. If methane and co sensor data exceed threshold value the system gives the audible alert through buzzer.        

The major features of this project are:
  1. Using sensors to detect the gasess, pressure, temperature.
  2. Real-time Database using web service.
  3. Abnormal condition the system provides auto alarm.
  4. Using Raspberry pi to achieve this task.
