The project aims at designing an intelligent security system for ATM. So, an Internet Of Things and Computer Vision based Smart ATM service is being proposed here, using Raspberry pi microcontroller based embedded system, where each person will be their own identity, where Fingerprint, Face, OTP verifications are key features for security, which in turn reduces the issue of fraud transactions, fraud ATM cards, hence security issue gets resolved.
The human face plays an important role in our social interaction, conveying people’s identity. Using the human face as a key to security, face recognition technology has received significant attention in the past several years due to its potential for a wide variety of applications in both law enforcement and non-law enforcement. A facial recognition system is a computer application for automatically identifying or verifying a person from a digital image or a video frame from a video source. One of the ways to do this is by comparing selected facial features from the image and a facial database. It is typically used in security systems.
When account holder selects the account holder banking option, then the account holder facing on the pi camera, the image is captured and compared with facial database and put the finger on fingerprint module. If both fingerprint and face got recognized, user can get the OTP. The account holder need to enter the OTP through keypad for continue the transaction, if anything wrong happens, a message of wrong attempt will be sent to the registered mobile number through GSM, the account holder and the photograph will be stored in the cloud database of bank, if user wants to see the photograph and other details of wrong entry, then details of wrong entry along with photograph can be seen after logging in to the user account.
