The proposed Intelligent Rocker-Bogie Robot is an autonomous mobile robot designed to move over uneven terrain and overcome obstacles using a six-wheel rocker-bogie suspension mechanism.

The proposed Intelligent Rocker-Bogie Robot is an autonomous mobile robot designed to move over uneven terrain and overcome obstacles using a six-wheel rocker-bogie suspension mechanism. The rocker-bogie system does not use conventional springs or stub axles, allowing the robot to maintain contact of all six wheels with the ground while climbing obstacles. The robot uses a microcontroller, battery-powered DC motors, motor driver, and ultrasonic sensors to detect obstacles in its path. When an obstacle is detected, the microcontroller processes the sensor information and automatically changes the robot's direction by turning or reversing. This eliminates the need for continuous manual control and makes the robot suitable for rough and challenging terrains. The robot also incorporates an automatic plant detection and watering system. An IR transmitter is placed near the plant, while an IR receiver is mounted on the robot to detect the presence of the plant. When the robot detects the transmitted IR signal, the microcontroller activates a water sprinkler pump through a relay to provide water automatically. The DC motors provide the required torque for movement, while the rocker-bogie suspension improves stability and obstacle-climbing capability. Thus, the proposed robot combines autonomous navigation, obstacle avoidance, rocker-bogie mobility, plant detection, and automatic watering into a single intelligent robotic system.
