 This project presents a Mobile Phone Controlled Live Human Being and Bomb Detecting Robot designed for surveillance and security applications in hazardous environments. The robot is built around an Arduino Nano microcontroller and is remotely operated using a GSM module. After calling the GSM module from any mobile phone, the user controls the robot's movement by pressing the phone keypad buttons (DTMF commands). The Arduino receives these commands and controls the DC motors through an L298 motor driver, enabling forward, backward, left, right, and stop movements. The robot is equipped with a PIR sensor to detect the presence of live human beings and a bomb detection sensor to identify suspicious explosive or metallic objects. When either sensor detects a target, the Arduino activates a buzzer to provide an immediate warning to the operator. A LM2596 voltage regulator ensures a stable power supply to all electronic components. This system provides a safe and cost-effective solution for remote surveillance, bomb detection, and human presence monitoring in sensitive locations such as military zones, public places, airports, railway stations, and disaster-affected areas. By allowing operators to control the robot from a distance, it helps reduce the risk to human life while improving the efficiency of security and rescue operations.        

Objectives:
  • To design and develop a mobile phone-controlled robot using an Arduino Nano and GSM (DTMF) communication.
  • To enable remote movement of the robot using the mobile phone keypad after making a call.
  • To detect the presence of live human beings using a PIR sensor.
  • To detect suspicious bombs or explosive/metallic objects using a bomb detection sensor.
  • To provide an instant warning through a buzzer whenever a human or bomb is detected.
  • To reduce human risk by enabling surveillance and inspection in dangerous or restricted areas.
  • To develop a low-cost, reliable, and easy-to-operate security robot for defense and public safety applications.
          The major building blocks of this project are:
