This project presents a Music from Plants System using Arduino Leonardo, which captures bioelectrical signals from plants through surface electrodes attached to their leaves.

Plants generate extremely small bioelectrical signals as a result of their natural physiological activities. These electrical variations can be detected, amplified, and converted into audible sounds, creating a unique musical experience without causing any harm to the plant. This project presents a Music from Plants System using Arduino Leonardo, which captures bioelectrical signals from plants through surface electrodes attached to their leaves. The weak electrical signals are first amplified using an EMG signal amplifier and then processed by the Arduino Leonardo. The microcontroller continuously analyzes the incoming signals and maps their variations to different musical tones and frequencies. The generated audio is passed through an audio amplifier circuit and played through a speaker, allowing users to hear the natural electrical activity of the plants as soothing musical sounds. The processed signal values are also displayed on the Arduino Serial Monitor via a USB connection for observation and analysis. The system supports monitoring of two plants simultaneously, enabling users to compare the electrical responses of different plant species or observe changes under varying environmental conditions such as light, touch, moisture, and temperature. Since the generated music is based on real-time plant bioelectrical activity, each plant produces unique and continuously changing sound patterns. The proposed system provides an innovative combination of electronics, biology, and music, making it an excellent educational and research tool. It demonstrates the interaction between living plants and electronic systems while promoting awareness of plant physiology, bioelectricity, and environmental monitoring. The project is portable, low-cost, non-invasive, and suitable for educational institutions, exhibitions, botanical research, and interactive art installations.          

 The main objectives of the project are:
  1. To detect the bioelectrical signals from plants using electrodes.
  2. To amplify the weak plant signals using an EMG amplifier.
  3. To process the signals using the Arduino Leonardo.
  4. To convert plant signals into musical tones.
  5. To play the generated music through a speaker.
  6. To monitor the plant signal values using the Arduino Serial Monitor.
  7. To compare the electrical activity of two different plants.
  8. To develop a low-cost, portable, and non-invasive plant music system.
