The Bed and Patient Monitoring System is an Arduino UNO–based healthcare solution designed to continuously monitor patient presence, emergency conditions, and vital parameters across multiple hospital beds.
To design and implement a multi-bed patient monitoring system capable of detecting patient presence on up to ten hospital beds using IR sensors.
To provide real-time visual indication of bed occupancy status through LEDs and display the status of occupied and vacant beds on an LCD screen.
To develop an emergency alert mechanism using individual switches for each bed that identifies and displays the corresponding bed number during emergencies.
To continuously monitor patient vital parameters, including heart rate and blood oxygen saturation (SpO₂), using the MAX30102 sensor and display the data in real time.
To enhance patient safety by detecting abnormal conditions and fall events, and activating an audible buzzer alert to immediately notify healthcare personnel.
