The main aim of the project is to developing a combustible GAS detection and alerting system using PIC Microcontroller. The system alerts the person through buzzer and SMS. Now a day's every system is automated in order to face new challenges. In present day, Automated systems have less manual operations, flexibility, reliability and accurate. Due to this demand every field prefers automated control systems. Especially in the field of electronics automated systems are giving good performance.
The main controlling device of the project is PIC Microcontroller. Gas sensor, GSM, Buzzer and LCD module are interfaced to the controller. The controller receiving the data from GAS sensor will be displayed on the LCD. When the GAS sensor detect the GAS, microcontroller will send the SMS alerts to the predefine mobile number through GSM and gives an audible alert through Buzzer. The Microcontroller is loaded with a program written in embedded ‘C’ language to perform the task.
